The recording session is done remotely via video conference, though only audio will be recorded. Using our Sound Heirloom methodology, we will guide you through the process of sharing your story, providing prompts and support throughout.

Tips for the best audio quality

1. Please record from a smaller enclosed space, like a closet, if you can. A place with absorbent materials around you (like clothing). Or have fun and make a fort with thick blankets around you.
2. Please wear headphones connected to your recording call.
3. Ensure that your internet connection is stable in this location.
4. Don’t record in a location with a lot of noise.

Tips for preparing your mind

1. Take a quiet moment beforehand.
2. Find your intention: Why am I recording? What will leave me feeling fulfilled at the end?
3. Breathe. Start a little slower than feels natural if you feel nervous, and remember that we’ll also help you find your place of ease.

You will only receive your edited audio as this is part of the beauty of curation; however, if you feel anything is missing, reach out.

Payment is collected when you schedule your pre-intention call. See the Services page to book and pay for the package of your choosing.

Your recording session will be coordinated during your pre-intention call, or, if preferred, we’ll send you a link to book by email.

If your originally scheduled session is canceled within 48 hours of your recording time, you will be refunded 60% of the total cost due to the preparation that has been completed.

The finished voice portrait audio file will be delivered within 3 weeks of the recording session. You’ll receive a link to access the file, which you’re welcome to download, store, and share as you choose.

Yes. Some packages include a small flash drive as a delivery option. If this is not included in your package, you may add it on for a small fee.

We know voice sessions can include personal or sensitive stories, so everything you share— recorded or not—is held with care and kept confidential. We don’t share or discuss your stories beyond what’s needed to thoughtfully deliver your Sound Heirloom, unless you’ve given written permission for select moments to be included in promotional or portfolio use.

Any audio recordings are securely stored and accessed only as needed to create your Sound Heirloom. We use trusted, privacy-conscious software tools in our production process, and we do not share, distribute, or discuss your recordings beyond what’s necessary to complete your project. If you choose, you can also opt out of having your audio retained after delivery.

Absolutely. Our client agreement includes a clear, dedicated section where you can specify your audio usage preferences, making it easy to choose full privacy.
